"WHAT MUST I DO TO BE SAVED?"

"WHAT MUST I DO TO BE SAVED?" -- Acts 16:30

This question is asked THREE TIMES in the New Testament.
A. It was asked by the Jews on Pentecost -- Acts 2:37
(1) Peter answers -- Acts 2:38
B. It was asked next by Saul -- Acts 9: 6
(1) Ananias answered the question in Acts 22:16

C. This question was next asked by the Philippian Jailer -- Acts 16: 30
(1) He was an unbeliever
(2) This answer was given to this unbeliever, but this is not the end of the story -- Acts 16: 31
(3) They preached to him so that he might believe -- Acts 16:32; Rom. 10:17
(4) The jailer then repented (washed their stripes) -- Acts 16:33
D. We have read three different answers to the same question.
(1) The Jailer was an unbeliever.
(2) People on Pentecost did believe.
(3) Saul was a believing, penitent man.

They were given different answers to the same question because they were at different places on the road of salvation.
