Who was to Blame?

2 Chron. 36:11-16 - "Zedekiah was twenty and one years old when he began to reign; and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem: and he did that which was evil in the sight of Jehovah his God; he humbled not himself before Jeremiah the prophet speaking from the mouth of Jehovah. And he also rebelled against king Nebuchadnezzar, who had made him swear by God: but he stiffened his neck, and hardened his heart against turning unto Jehovah, the God of Israel. Moreover all the chiefs of the priests, and the people, trespassed very greatly after all the abominations of the nations; and they polluted the house of Jehovah which he had hallowed in Jerusalem. And Jehovah, the God of their fathers, sent to them by his messengers, rising up early and sending, because he had compassion on his people, and on his dwelling-place: but they mocked the messengers of God, and despised his words, and scoffed at his prophets, until the wrath of Jehovah arose against his people, till there was no remedy."

Who was to blame? Zedekiah did evil...he rebelled...stiffened his neck...and hardened his heart against turning unto Jehovah. All the chiefs of the priests, and the people trespassed very greatly...and they polluted the house of Jehovah...

For many years God had shown them compassion...how so? By sending messengers and prophets to call upon all of them to speak HIS WORDS.

Their reaction? They despised his words, and scoffed at his prophets...
So God's wrath arose...till there was no remedy...

God has been shown compassion upon all nations in sending His Son...who spoke the words His Father gave to Him (John 12:48-50). Jesus gave these same words to the apostles (John 17:8). They preached these words to all nations as Jesus commanded them (Matt. 28:18-20; Mark 16:15-16; Luke 24:47).

The reaction? Despising and scoffing...so God's wrath will continue to rise until there will be no remedy...JUDGMENT DAY!

Are you ready?
