The Man of Lawlessness.....what does the Bible say about him?

"Now we request you, brethren, with regard to the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, that you not be quickly shaken from your composure or be disturbed either by a spirit or a message or a letter as if from us, to the effect that the day of the Lord has come. Let no one in any way deceive you, for it will not come unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction" (2 Thessalonians 2:1-3).

From 2 Thessalonians 2:3-12 we find:

He is: "doomed to destruction" - v. 3
He will: "oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped" - v. 4
He will: "proclaim himself to be God"- v. 4

HAVE YOU SEEN HIM?
HAVE YOU HEARD HIM PREACH?
HOW CAN YOU KNOW?

HERE ARE HIS CHARACTERISTICS:

His coming: "will be in accordance with how Satan works" - v. 9
He will use: "all sorts of displays of power through signs and wonders that serve the lie" - v. 9
He will use: "all the ways that wickedness deceives" - v. 10

YOU WILL FALL FOR HIS TACTICS BECAUSE OF ONE THING; IT DEPENDS UPON YOUR ANSWER TO THIS QUESTION: IS THERE SUCH A THING AS "ABSOLUTE" TRUTH, OR IS TRUTH "RELEVANT"?

THIS IS THE SAME THING AS ACKNOWLEDGING OR DENYING A "STANDARD OF AUTHORITY" FOR ALL RELIGIOUS PRACTICES.

What do you believe about this? Is there a universal standard of authority in religion?

Must ALL submit to it? Must ALL agree upon it?

IS THERE SUCH A THING AS T R U T H
Do you have a love for T R U T H or,
do you have a love for W I C K E D N E S S?

You will perish, depending upon which of these you love.

Wickedness deceives because: "they refused to love the truth and so be saved." - v. 10

"For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness." - vss 11-12

IS TRUTH ABSOLUTE, or RELEVANT?
